TEAM MADISON SKI BIG SKY On Friday, January 25th team Madison will be going to Big Sky for their ski day. Students should have brought home a permission slip to be filled out and returned to their teacher. They will leave SMS around 8:30am and return around 5:30pm.


SPIRIT NIGHT The SMS Spirit Night is on Friday, February 1st from 5:00-7:30pm. students and their families are invited for an evening of food, fun and games! There will be a taco bar provided by Santa Fe Reds from 5:00-6:30pm in the cafeteria. Taco Bar costs $8/person if ordered before Jan. 25th and $10/person after Jan. 25th. Raffle tickets for the games will be sold at lunch starting Wed. Jan. 30th and will also be available on Spirit Night. Tickets are $0.50/each. Students should be bringing home a blue flyer with all the info and a form to fill out and return if you plan to enjoy the taco bar.


BISON SKI AT BRIDGER BOWL The 6th grade Bison team will be going to Bridger Bowl on Thursday, January 31st. Students should have brought home a permission slip to be filled out and returned to their teacher. The team will leave SMS around 8:30am and return arond 5:00pm.


TEAM BOULDER SKI AT BIG SKY Thursday, January 24th, team Boulder will be going to Big Sky for their ski day. Students should have brought home a permission slip to be returned to their teacher before going on the trip. Students will leave SMS around 8:30am and return around 5:30pm.


PIR DAY Monday, January 21st is a PIR day so there will be no school. Enjoy the long weekend!


GEOGRAPHY BEE The SMS Geo Bee will be on Thursday, Jan. 17th at 3:30pm.


8TH GRADE CHOIR CONCERT The 8th grade SMS and CJMS choir students will be having a choir concert with the BHS choir on Tuesday, January 29th at the Willson at 7:30pm. All are welcome to enjoy this great evening of music!


7TH/8TH BAND CONCERT SMS and CJMS 7th and 8th grade band students will be joinin the BHS band at the Willson for a concert on Thursday, January 31st at 7:30pm. Please come for the evening and enjoy the great music!


FOOD DELIVERIES TO SCHOOL Parents/Guardians, we ask that you please NOT have food delivered to school for your student's lunch. Often times they show up way before or even after the student has had lunch, or show up with no name, etc. With almost 800 kids in the school, we just cannot allow for food deliveries to the school. Thank you for your understanding.


AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS We have school clubs that meet after school and they are open to anyone wanting to participate at any time of the year. Computer Club meets every Tuesday from 3:30-4:30pm in room C8. Robotics Club is every Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm in room C8. Knitting Club Meets every Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm in room D12. Outdoor Club meets every Monday at 3:30 in room F21 Archery Club every Tuesday/Thursday from 3:30-4:30 in F20. Year Book Club every Tuesday at 3:30 in room F18.

STUDENTS LEAVING SCHOOL EARLY If your child needs to leave school early for a trip, doctors appt., counseling appt, PT appt, etc. please send them to school with a note or call stating what time you will be picking them up. We will then write a blue pass for the student with the pick up time on it so they can show their teacher ahead of time and then leave class at that time and come to the office to meet you. That way, we do not have to call into the classroom and disrupt their teaching Thank you!


LATE STUDENTS TO SCHOOL If your student is late to school, please either send them in with a note or give us a call excusing them for being late at 522-6410.
